    The IMPACT+ internship program is nothing like any internship out there. Sure most internships
    are paid and provide you with great opportunities for leadership development but the IMPACT+ internship program is different. While the focus of our internship is to become better leaders, we also developed as people. Among two other interns I made two best friends for the rest of my life. I already told both of them they will be at my graduation, wedding, and any other major life event. This is not because I feel like I owe them for everything they have done for me (although I definitely do), this is because I gained a brother and a sister in these past eight weeks. I get tripped up sometimes about how it started from one small decision to go to a career fair to me reminiscing about the family I made in Burlington, North Carolina.
